Yes, developing a peer reviewed wiki and a forum is something that is going to be really useful for the practitioners using our e-portfolio 'passportfolio' ( www.passportfolio.com) with students. Because they are a varied bunch, including teachers, guidance advisers and youth workers, a site to share information, explanations and good practice will be vital. I am working on how this will work in practice, and looking at sites to develop this, including Moodle, EduSpaces, Joomla and this site."

I find that because we have such a variety of skills in our secondary schools, from the enthusiastic IT literate, to the totally IT-shy,finding an easy to use site is going to be crucial! Gill "

"Hi Kjell, thank you for this feedback. I feel strongly that a Wiki is the only way to effectively support teaching staff using our personal development e-portfolio with students in 2 local authorities, across 120 secondary schools and colleges. I am proposing to set up a small-scale focus group with some of the teachers in schools that are piloting the e-portfolio, I have a few options to try with them and their feedback will determine which one we go for. Hopefully I can start creating a community which will gradually grow. I will integrate it into my teacher in-service training and see what happens. Thanks for your help, Gill"
