Using a locally installed wiki offers a great pedagogical potential in education and a nice possibility for the students to learn on different levels according to Bloom´s taxonomy. However, using wikis is non-trivial, and requires quite a bit of pedagogical and organisation planning, and in the presentation a number of important questions will be adressed.

Abstract from session moderator:

Svend told us about how he has been experimenting with wikis in his teaching. He used wikis in the hope of deepening the students learning, and tried to push them to reflect together on the content they are studying. He found that collaboratively writing a wiki was positively accepted by the students. In order to succeed he found it very important to structure the writing expecially by making adding and reviewing articles on the wiki manditory for the students.
