(Sine Martinussen) How do you motivate potential learners to learn, when they think that they know everything better themselves? How do you create e-learning that isn’t supposed to look like a learning situation? At Danish Technological Institute we have created e-learning for a target group that is not suitable for learning – and with great success.

What we would like to learn:

Please add your questions to the presenter here - what would you like to learn?

Abstract from session moderator:

Flexible learning opens up the possibility to join, no matter personal circumstances and no matter where you are, if you just can see the purpose and the practical needs. A pedagogical design is necessary, where the teacher´s role is changed to be more like a trainer than a teacher. Hiding and keeping information doesn´t work; “Keeping is nothing, sharing is everything”. As the target group is adults in a workplace, we have to integrate their background and show how theory and practise can relate to each other, as skills are developed through discussion, interaction and cooperation. Sine Martinussen´s told a story about HUBERT, working at a recycling station. The challenge was to - not make it feel and look like a learning situation - not support a feeling of being tested - not devide the world in wrong and right BUT make it fun and interesting and fitting in the working situation.//Elisabeth Isaksson
