(Susanne Koch, University of Oslo) Susannes Slideshare page Abstract
The presentation looks at Web 2.0 tools as aides for organizing teaching. It starts by outlining how changes in our society in general and in the work place in particular have put new demands on higher education: In addition to teaching subject matter we are expected to empower students to be constructors of their own knowledge and to impart to them both digital- and information literacy. Web 2.0 provides tools to do this and to break down the walls of the classroom and make higher education more flexible. Several examples from the University of Oslo illustrate this.
