The trans-national consortium has developed scripts and scenarios for groups of learners who have co-operated with the use of ICT. The overall idea is to learn basic skills – languages, negotiations, problem solving ICT etc - through role playing

Abstract from session moderator:

New Basic Skills – The Internet Act project as an example of learning at workplace was a Leonardo project 2004-2007. The aim was to find didactic mode for workplace based learning. Target group were workers with low education and low ITC skills, instructors and trainers. Another aim was to make a model which is transferable to other sectors. Project partners were Spain, Rumania, England and Norway as a leader.
In the practise they used internet based role plays. Four groups from four lands get a problem to solve by using teamwork. After the solution has been found it accepted after negation with every group. Last step was evaluation. Tool for discussion was web based platform
