The presentation focuses on the experiences from the NKI Distance Education’s Learning Partner Service. It is a service for voluntary cooperation between students in a large online community. This service received the international Boldic Award for 2006. The jury stated that it: "…furthers and develops the Nordic tradition in ODL. The learning partner concept adds a new, innovative dimension of student support to flexible distance education.
