Homo Mobilus – the mobile manThis is a featured page

(Aleksander Dye)
This will be an introduction to what mobile learning can give back to eLearning, which eLearning took away from the distance learner when the learning went from D to E. The presenter will show what works well on a mobile device and what the challenges are, and comment on the advantages of mLearning compared to eLearning, but also the other way around.

Abstract from session moderator:

I will try to give insight to what NKI has done in mobile learning and our experience with sms and small devices.

Material from the presenter:

Why should you attend:
  • NKI have been involved in mobile learning projects funded by the EU since 2000 - so far 4 projects
  • NKI is Scandinavia's largest distance education institution
  • NKI offered one of Europe's first online courses - in 1987

You’ve made me curious about what it is that ELearning took away from the distance learner. Looking forward to your presentation in our workshop tomorrow.
